Karma, Its a thing.

So as they always say, what goes around comes around. I have never felt the effect of that saying until this year. I am now a true believer in karma to the point where it has truly shaped my personality because I have no become more aware of my energy I put out into the world… They day started with a weird vibe roaming the halls of the apartment complex. After talking to two ladies they told me the tea. Apparently there was a photo that had resurfaced and showed Edgar was trying to kill Ether and that is stirring up a bunch of turmoil amongst the community. Information keeps resurfacing and it's becoming to haunt our whole apartment complex. I decided that all of this information was becoming overwhelming and so I decided to go for a walk and grab an iced coffee. Once I break free from the whispering noises surrounding the halls I see a crowd standing in front of the complex. The direction of their heads all went upwards towards the top of the tower. I decide to look up as well an...

Mirror, Mirror

Its a school day. I wake up, complete my daily routine just like normal. As I make my way to the bathroom I saw a cockroach climbing my walls. I was doing my make up and dropped my mirror on my marble floor. It immediately crack shattered glass covering my area. What in the world was a roach doing on my walls. I became lazy as I realized I know had to clean all of this glass off of my floor. All I know is I got chills all over my body. It was like an unknown presence was around me and left an eery feeling. I reached my kitchen grabbing the broom out of my closet and proceeded to cleaning the glass. Today was starting off super great. My stomach began to ache and school just wasn't the move anymore. Teachers are a bore and the students are annoying. So I take it upon myself to skip school and go buy me a new mirror for my wall.

Seven Deadly Sins & Dinner

Spring has finally arrived and it was well deserved. This past winter has been a pretty dark one with all the series of unfortunate events occurring in my town. I mean I used to read those books as a kid but I never would've imagined that it could possibly be my reality. Even though I am not completely involved in the whole process of the murder and relative events leading up to that I am apart of the community and was placed in the midst of the wrath coming from the aftermath of the murder. People wanted to hear from me and my perspective on things. I mean I didn't really understand why at first but it was a mystery so all the information they could get from me I was happy to provide. I finally get myself out of bed and decide to go on a run on this beautiful day. Going on runs always made me relax and take my mind off of things for a while. When I return I see a text pop up on my phone from Lamar. He wanted to meet up for dinner. Hmmm. Why does he want to talk to me again...

Fog Reveals the Past

Crazy things have been occurring in the town. I never thought there would be so much drama my senior year. The things happening seem straight out of a tv show on Abc that airs every Wednesday night. Information has been surfacing the town every day it seems like. And its weird how the death of Mr. Evans started the domino effect. I start my day out as I always do. My routine of opening my blinds to notify me about the forecast. When I open my blinds today a gray misty fog hung low across the sky. The fog was so thick that a flashlight couldn't even break through. Fog in my eyes is just a nuisance. Like what is your purpose fog? You ruin peoples hair. Add extra humidity to the air. Affects a person's overall mood. And mostly importantly make it hard for people to drive. Every time I see fog it brings me back to six years ago when I was involved in a car accident. And still to this day I categorize that as the worst and scariest day of my life. At the age of 11 I knew that ev...

Starry, Starry Night

It was a slow night. One of those nights that contained a nice hot bubble bath, candles lit, and my lonely nights chill play list on shuffle. Nights like this didn't consume of any homework, only reflection. A tornado of thoughts swirled through my mind as I attempt to relax myself with my surroundings. The whole album of Ctrl was playing through and I decided to go out on my balcony of my room and light one of my friends stolen cigs. I only smoked when I felt I needed extra aid to calm my nerves. With the tension of the town at an all time high and the death of Mr. Evans I decided I deserved this one cig. So I take a smoke. Breathing out my smoke and looking toward the sky it begins to set. The gradient of orange to purple was astonishing. It seemed to be more appealing than the nicotine flowing through my bloodstream. The next ten minutes passed slowly as the sun set. The sky became a deep sea blue with twinkling stars covering the skyline. Star's were my favorite thing o...

Let It Snow Pt.1

I woke up to white everywhere. Snow was finally here. This was the only brightness the town has seen since Mr. Evans funeral two days ago. This was my favorite thing about winter. An amazing surprise I needed in my life. Everyone has been depressed and in the darkness lately since the chaos around the town. The vibes were starting to affect me also, left me not wanting to talk to anybody. But with Mr. Evans funeral being over and the surprise of snow maybe I could illuminate from the sad aura being felt all around the town. After being on social media for a minute I head downstairs to have breakfast. As I make my coffee I notice a slip of paper on the ground. Someone must've slipped it under my door while I was asleep. Hmm, I wonder who it could be from. Suddenly distracted and struck with curiosity I go pick up the slip of paper. It read, " Hey Starr, Can you meet me later on the roof of the West Tower around 6 p.m.? Hope to see you there :). - Mei" Mei... Why does s...

The Diner

It's 5 P.M. in the evening and I hear the vibration coming from my phone along with the bright light. The notification was a text from a group chat. In my mind I'm thinking when was I ever in the group chat. The only contact I have in my phone is Lamar.  It read: " Good evening guys. As you all know the death of Mr. Evans has been the mystery of the century in this apartment complex. I wanted to reach out and see if you all can meet me at Alice's around 7 P.M. I hope to just have a civil discussion. Thanks!" My thoughts following the text lead with confusion. What did he want to pick my brain about with Mr. Evans? Should I even go? Who else will be attending? Fast forwarding to around 6:30 P.M. I decided to get ready to leave to meet the mystery clique at Alice's. Once I arrive I see familiar faces from around the complex however, I have never had a conversation with any of them before. I start to feel a sense of embarrassment as I am one of the youngest...
