Starry, Starry Night

It was a slow night. One of those nights that contained a nice hot bubble bath, candles lit, and my lonely nights chill play list on shuffle. Nights like this didn't consume of any homework, only reflection. A tornado of thoughts swirled through my mind as I attempt to relax myself with my surroundings.

The whole album of Ctrl was playing through and I decided to go out on my balcony of my room and light one of my friends stolen cigs. I only smoked when I felt I needed extra aid to calm my nerves. With the tension of the town at an all time high and the death of Mr. Evans I decided I deserved this one cig. So I take a smoke. Breathing out my smoke and looking toward the sky it begins to set. The gradient of orange to purple was astonishing. It seemed to be more appealing than the nicotine flowing through my bloodstream.

The next ten minutes passed slowly as the sun set. The sky became a deep sea blue with twinkling stars covering the skyline. Star's were my favorite thing on Earth and I have grown up to love them and their subtle significance on the world. Stargazing was at an all time high tonight and there couldn't be anything to make me more comfortable.

Continuing to stare off I see a shooting star. The last time I ever saw one was when I was stargazing at the park with my mother at age 8 and made me realize some miracles are true if your eyes can see it. So I saw another and a wish followed. My wish was super sacred to my heart and it has been heavy on my mind. The prayers were never really answering them so the sign of a shooting star gave me hope on this desire I wished to come true.

  1. Starr's scream echoed in Marie's head for days after the rooftop meeting. Soon after Starr had emerged from the door, Marie flew back into the building, past the terrified girl and a puzzled Mei, who seemed to be trying to piece together the clue that Marie had left in the snow. The combination of her being able to move the snow and Mei not being able to see her while Starr could had left Marie utterly frazzled, and the only thing she had thought to do was leave.
